Today’s route starts with a few kms of tarmac before going off piste up the mighty Goytre Hill. You may find this first ramp arduous and a bit of pushing required but fear not; the views from the top are well worth the effort and the remaining parcours becomes less punishing. Enjoy the quiet lanes and long gravel sections as the Trans Cambrian Way threads through the beautiful welsh countryside on the route less travelled. Take time to rest and refuel at Rhayader before pushing on to the stunning Teifi Pools and Strata Florida.
And if you have any energy left use it! Our food concessions, music and bar should keep you occupied throughout the evening at the amazing Pafiliwn Bont, Pontrhydfendigaid.
Another day of glorious scenery as we loop north and east back to Knighton. Rest up at one of the myriad view points to enjoy your picnic in the great outdoors.
The final stretches trace Offa’s Dyke back south along the English border before the final descent into Knighton. Fancy a dip in the river?
